BE DO BETTER - Wellness and Performance Training

My Vision
I believe that each individual deserves the best support and guidance that he or she needs for success in life.

My Mission:
To assist individuals in reaching their highest potential by providing them tools and  guidance in a safe and supportive environment.

About Coach Reins:
As  the director of three Colorado branches of a not-for-profit educational institute, Coach Reins taught classes to adults and trained teachers. The curriculum included listening and memory skills, concentration and undivided attention, meditation, creative and healing visualization, communication skills and service to others.  The first school, of which Michael became the director, was under the threat of being closed when he arrived.  He was able to help save it and after growing it into a sustaining organization, he built two more branches.

As a Licensed Psychotherapist for 18 years and a Life Coach for 7, Coach Reins has helped hundreds of families and individuals negotiate life's storms.  He has provided employee assistance services to the U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Department of Agriculture, U.S. Department of Energy and National Park Service.  Completing 70 hours of intensive curriculum from Pat Williams, CEO and founder of The Institute for Life Coach Training enabled Michael to transfer existing skills into a coaching model.

Currently, Michael’s passion is with EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), which is often referred to as a psychological form of acupuncture.  EFT is used to clear emotional issues that impair mental, emotional and behavioral functioning and allow for improved performance.

Areas of specialization:
Anger Management
Parent Effectiveness
Business Management
Employee Relations
Conflict Negotiation
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

Business Experience:
In addition to his psychotherapy and coaching practice, Coach Reins, with a BBA in Marketing, has held positions in sales, marketing and management.  He has managed a retail specialty shop, outselling over 100 other stores in Atlanta, Georgia’s premiere shopping mall.  In the mid 1990s, he helped found a ten-partner professional corporation and positioned this business to meet the changes in the behavioral health care market.

Volunteering and Community:
Volunteering has been a life long value for Michael and one for which he has been recognized.  Having been a founding member of a professional networking association in Sonoma County with over 100 members, he provided many hours of free crisis intervention services to local public schools, as well as education programs.
He also helped transition employees of a service organization in Sonoma County from a union to an employee association and thereby successfully negotiate a work contract which had been stalled for years.
